Kevin Lucas
Born and raised in Bellaire, Texas, Kevin grew up hunting, fishing, and surfing on the Gulf Coast. Kevin began traveling after graduation from high school. In search of bigger fish and bigger waves, he has visited over 40 countries searching for the perfect place. For obvious reasons, Costa Rica is now home. Kevin's reasons................BIGGER FISH & BIGGER WAVES!!! Kevin has been fishing, diving, and surfing off the coast of Nosara for 8 years now. He is a divemaster, expert freediver, expert surfer, and is the USCG licensed captain of "La Escapada". Kevin can guide and accompany you to all the best spots for fishing, surfing, diving, and snorkeling. Kevin is very patient while giving instruction and loves to provide our clients with "The Experience of a Lifetime."
Tony Formoso
Tony grew up in Lebanon, Illinois and attended John A. Logan Junior College and Illinois State University on baseball scholarships. His teams respectively competed in the JUCO World Series in 1992 and in the 1994 NCAA Midwest I Regional. Tony received his degree in education from ISU and relocated to Houston, Texas, where he taught elementary PE and coached youth basketball for 5 years. In search of new experiences in life, Tony headed for Costa Rica in the winter of 2000. It didn't take long for him to make the white sand beach of Playa Pelada home. He now runs Aventura Pelada with his fishing and business partner Kevin Lucas. Tony specializes in arranging our clients personalized tours and finding the best of accomodations for the variety of groups who are returning or visiting our area for the first time. Tony will take care of all your special requests.
Dwane Caldwell
Dwane was born in Houston, Texas. After spending time serving our country, Dwane completed Law School and practiced Law in Texas until he decided to retire. Dwane fell in love with Costa Rica at first site. He decided to start a business just to be able to spend more time here. Dwane is fully responsible for uniting Kevin and Tony and initializing the creation of Aventura Pelada. He is now enjoying the tropical fruits of his labor. It is Dwane's job to spend time participating in our activities to insure the quality of our product. If you are lucky enough to meet Dwane on your tour, you will truly understand one man's love for this beautiful place.
